Rubicon Theatre Company celebrates Black History Month with THE DEVIL'S MUSIC: THE LIFE AND BLUES OF BESSIE SMITH, starring singer and actress Miche Braden of the original Off-Broadway production (named one of the 10 Best Off-Broadway productions of the year by the N.Y. Daily Times). Described by CBC as a, "bawdy, bluesy, boozy rollicking night out at the theatre," the show follows the life, loves and career of blues and jazz singer Bessie Smith, called the "Empress of the Blues."

On Thursday, February 9th, Broadway's Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 celebrated 100 performances at Broadway's Imperial Theatre. The whole cast was on hand to celebrate the occasion and BroadwayWorld.com was there to capture it all. See photos from the backstage celebration below.

The Wagner College Theatre has announced that the winner of this year's Stanley Drama Award is Elisabeth Karlin for her play, "The Showman and the Spirit."

Comedy Central and National Lampoon star Tommy Koenig's one man "'musicomedy' - a flashback through our times and the music that defined them - Baby Boomer Baby comes to the Herberger Theater Center from Feb. 2-26.

It's official! Barbra Streisand will be among the very first performers to christen the newly renovated Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York. According to the report, the legendary singer will perform on May 4, then head to Brooklyn's Barclays Center on May 6.
