The Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) will present its fifteenth annual All-City Musical, RENT to crown the District's 2013-14 series of All-City Arts Programming. The production features the talents of over fifty CMSD students from across the District and will take place on the stage of the Ohio Theatre at PlayhouseSquare, this weekend, May 30 - June 1, 2014. Tony Sias, Director of Arts Education for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, co-directs the production with the CMSD All-City Arts Program's Managing Director, Kimberly Brown.

Alliance Theatre Announces New General Manager, Mike Schleifer

After conducting a thorough national search, the Alliance Theatre has announced that Mike Schleifer has been chosen as the new General Manager of the Alliance Theatre, beginning March 3, 2014. Schleifer steps into the position left vacant by Max Leventhal, who served the Alliance for 10 seasons before transitioning to the role of Owners' Representative to the Woodruff Arts Center in September, 2013. Schleifer brings to his new role 19 years of theatre management experience in a variety of company leadership and stage management positions.

Last March, the Paramount Theatre, 23 E. Galena Blvd. in downtown Aurora, caused a big stir among its nearly 20,000 subscribers by revealing a blockbuster line-up for its 2013-14 Broadway Subscription Series: IN THE HEIGHTS (September 11-October 6, 2013); MISS SAIGON (October 30-November 24, 2013); 42ND STREET (January 15-February 9, 2014); and RENT (March 12-April 6, 2014).
Arvada Center Presents NO DOGS ALLOWED, 2/7-4/12

On Thursday, February 7 at noon, the Arvada Center opens the children's theater production No Dogs Allowed, written by Sonia Manzano ('Maria' from Sesame Street), music by Stephan Lawrence, lyrics by Billy Aronson and directed by Edith Weiss. The show will run February 7 - April 12, 2013. Performances are 10:00 a.m. and noon, most Tuesdays through Fridays, select Saturdays at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. For specific show dates please check our website. Ticket prices range from $8 weekdays and $10 weekends and holidays for reserved seating.
