According to Variety, Tony winner Lin-Manuel Miranda and his free-style rap group Freestyle Love Supreme will be featured on a pilot for Adult Swim. Also starring Utkarsh Ambudkar, the pilot will be 'based on the stage show of the same name.'

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) today announced the nominees for the 38th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy® Awards. PBS led the nominations with 57, followed by ABC with 56. Amongst the most nominated shows were General Hospital (21), The Young and the Restless (20), Sesame Street (16), The Bold and the Beautiful (14), All My Children (13) and The Ellen DeGeneres Show and One Life to Live (12).

Today, the word is that Universal Pictures has removed the planned IN THE HEIGHTS movie from its projects, according to Deadline.com. Though the project carries with it only a price tag of about $37 million, Universal didn't see any firm commitments on big names in the supporting roles.
