BroadwayWorld has confirmed that understudy Leeds Hill is on this afternoon as the Emcee in Cabaret, filling in for a sick Alan Cumming, who is hoping to return to the show tonight.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that tonight's preview performance of Cabaret has been cancelled. Alan Cumming, who plays the Emcee, has fallen ill, and since the show is only in its first week of performances, Cumming's understudy hasn't been rehearsed. Performances are expected to resume tomorrow. Subscribers will receive a call to reschedule their tickets and single ticket holders may exchange their tickets from the original point of purchase.

Last night, Roundabout Theatre Company honored Sam Mendes with the Jason Roberts Award for Excellence in Theatre. The criterion for this award is to have made an 'indelible impact on the theatre world.' The award was named after the founder of Roundabout and is given each year in remembrance of his own impact on the theatre world. I am thrilled to announce the now-complete cast of Cabaret. Bill Heck (Cliff), Aaron Krohn(Ernst), and Gayle Rankin (Kost) will join the previously announced Danny Burstein, Linda Emond, Michelle Williams, and Alan Cumming in this exciting production.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) just announced the full cast of Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall's production of Cabaret. The Tony winning musical by Joe Masteroff, John Kander and Fred Ebb will star Alan Cumming in his Tony Award-winning role as Emcee, three time Academy Award nominee Michelle Williams making her Broadway debut as Sally Bowles. The cast will also feature two time Tony nominee Linda Emond as Fraulein Schneider, four time Tony nominee Danny Burstein as Herr Schultz, Bill Heck as Cliff, Aaron Krohn as Ernst and Gayle Rankin as Fraulein Kost.

Last night, November 14, Second Stage opened its much-anticipated production of Little Miss Sunshine. This new musical comedy is based on the film of the same name by Michael Arndt. It was adapted for the stage by Tony Award-winning team James Lapine, who wrote the book, and William Finn, who wrote the lyrics and music.
