Internationally recognized recording artist and performer Nicole Scherzinger is set to make her West End debut in the new revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber's long-running musical CATS and comments on her new gig in a social media post.
On joining the West End production of Cats, Nicole Scherzinger said: 'I am really thrilled to be making my West End debut in such an iconic show and I couldn't be more excited. To have the opportunity to work with Andrew, Trevor and Gillian is a dream come true. I grew up listening to Andrew's extraordinary music and was lucky enough, a couple of years ago, to record Cats' beautiful song Memory. Andrew's score is breathtaking and I am truly honoured to have been asked to take part in what I know will be a very special time in my career. I can't wait to begin rehearsals.'

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that the show, which was previously set to open in August, has been postponed due to problems booking an appropriate Broadway Theatre. The full team is still on board to continue with the production and producers are hopeful that performances will begin in Fall 2013.

The scenery will be designed by Anna Louizos, who is currently represented on Broadway with 'Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella.' Performances begin in July with an August opening.
