It was written and performed during the nation's first major recession the so-called Panic of 1819. Opening night is tonight, June 23 and the production closes on Sunday, July 8. All performances run Thursdays through Sundays at 8 p.m. Running time is 90 minutes with no intermission. The theatre is located at 549 W. 52nd Street, 3rd Floor, near 11th Ave., subway C/E 50th St.

YOU, MY MOTHER is an opera project in two parts, created by composer Brendan Connelly and playwright Karinne Keithley Syers, Obie Award-winning composer Rick Burkhardt and playwright Kristen Kosmas, directed by Brooke O'Harra, with music performed by Yarn/Wire + Strings.

Medicine Show Theatre Ensemble has announced its revival of 'MR. SHAKESPEARE & MR. PORTER,' the melding of the plays of WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE with the music and lyrics of COLE PORTER. The production features two different evenings of mini-musicals: Volume 1 ('Hamlet,' 'Macbeth' and 'A Midsummer Night's Dream') runs from November 13th through the 23rd; Volume 2 ('Measure for Measure,' 'Richard III' and 'A Midsummer Night's Dream') runs from December 4th-December 21st.
