MAMMA MIA! Broadway star Judy McLane will produce and co-host 'Broadway Unleashed' to benefit Sean Casey Animal Rescue along with a cast of Broadway favorites on Monday, May 17, 2010 at 7:00p at Trattoria Dopo Teatro (125 West 44 Street).

On Monday, May 3rd, Broadway legend Bernadette Peters will be holding a performance and book signing for her latest publication, Stella is a Star. The event will take place at Dylan's Candy Bar on 1011 3rd Avenue at 60th Street from 3-5PM. Guests can also particpate in a live raffle drawing for which the winner will be awarded the chance to appear onstage with Bernadette Peters & Mary Tyler Moore at this year's Broadway Barks on Saturday, July 10th in Shubert Alley.

Michael Urie is the special guest tomorrow, Thursday, April 29th at 6:00 pm at 'Seth Rudetsky's Broadway Chatterbox' at Don't Tell Mama, 343 West 46th Street (Restaurant Row). The Celebrity Interview series benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids. There is a $10.00 cover charge & 2 drink minimum per person; cash only.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS has announced dates for Broadway Barks and the Broadway Flea Market. Broadway Barks will take place July 10, the Broadway Flea Market will take place on September 26.

Tony-nominated actor Tom Wopat will present a solo concert at Birdland Jazz Club on May 31. Wopat can currently be seen on Broadway in SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM.

New York City Center will celebrate Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winner Stephen Sondheim on the occasion of his 80th birthday on Monday, April 26 with a gala celebration featuring stars who have shone in Sondheim musicals including Michael Cerveris, Barbara Cook, Raúl Esparza, Victor Garber, Joanna Gleason, Angela Lansbury, Patti LuPone, Donna Murphy and Bernadette Peters. Directed by Tony Award-winner John Doyle, the evening will highlight shows for which Mr. Sondheim has written both music and lyrics, and will feature a full orchestra conducted by Encores! Music Director Rob Berman. The Benefit will help fund New York City Center's artistic and education programs. In addition, a portion of the evening's proceeds will go to Young Playwrights Inc, a charity of great importance to Mr. Sondheim.

Queens Theatre in the Park (QTP) and Bristol Riverside Theatre, in association with Neil Berg and Adam Friedson, will close its new production of the award-winning musical revue Closer Than Ever directed by Richard Malty. Jr. and starring original cast members Sally Mayes and Lynne Wintersteller along with Broadway alums George Dvorksy and Sal Vivinio April 25 in the Claire Shulman Playhouse Main Stage Theatre at Queens Theatre in the Park, Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Flushing, NY.

The engagement - which is directed by Richard Jay-Alexander and features Music Director Ben Toth on piano and Jered Egan on bass - opened at Feinstein's last night, April 20.
