As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the Tony Award-winning new musical COME FROM AWAY tells the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded air passengers during the wake of 9/11, and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. It will land in London for its long-awaited UK premiere at The Phoenix Theatre next year with performances from 30 January 2019 and opening night on 18 February 2019. Prior to the West End, this heart-warming musical will have a limited engagement at The Abbey Theatre in Dublin from 6 December 2018 to 19 January 2019.

The highly anticipated American premiere of the Yiddish language Fiddler on the Roof, presented by the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF) begins preview PERFORMANCE Off Broadway at the Museum of Jewish Heritage on Wednesday, July 4th, with Press Opening slated for Sunday, July 15 and a VIP gala performance on Monday, July 16. Helmed by Academy Award and Tony Award winner Joel Grey, the acclaimed musical is being presented for an 8-week limited engagement through August 26.

It has been announced that A BRONX TALE, the musical featuring a book by Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri, music by Oscar, Grammy, and Tony Award winner Alan Menken, and lyrics by Grammy Award winner and Oscar and Tony Award nominee Glenn Slater, directed by two-time Oscar winner Robert De Niro and four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks, with choreography by Tony nominee Sergio Trujillo, will close on Broadway Sunday, August 5, 2018.

Box Office is Now Open for New York Run of SMOKEY JOE'S CAFE

The Stage 42 box office (422 West 42nd Street) is now open for the new production of Smokey Joe's Cafe: The Songs of Leiber & Stoller, which begins preview performances on Friday, July 6 and officially opens on Sunday, July 22. Box office is open Monday - Sunday from Noon - 6pm. If there is an evening performance, the box office will remain open until curtain.

Over the course of a 61-year partnership, Jerry Leiber (d. 2011) and Mike Stoller created enduring classics in a variety of genres including rhythm & blues, pop, country, jazz, cabaret, and-perhaps most notably-rock & roll. Elvis Presley and the Coasters are only two of the many acts whose careers skyrocketed because of Leiber and Stoller's creative partnership.

PRINCE OF BROADWAY is a musical celebration highlighting the extraordinary six-decade career of director and producer Hal Prince. Mr. Prince appeared at the event in conversation with three-time Tony winner Jason Robert Brown, who co-produced the album and provided new songs, arrangements, orchestration and music supervision for the show. In addition to a CD signing, members of the original cast performed musical highlights.
