Ralphie Parker wants only one thing for Christmas - a Red Ryder BB Gun. Of course that'll come as no surprise to the legion of fans of the beloved 1983 movie A Christmas Story. But this holiday season, devotees of the cherished film are getting another gift. Celebrating the arrival of A Christmas Story: The Musical on Broadway, Masterworks Broadway proudly releases the World Premiere Recording of the delightful family-friendly musical digitally on September 25 and on CD on October 22, 2012.

A Christmas Story, The Musical takes its search nationally for a young boy to play the iconic role of 'Ralphie' with submissions now available online. As the Broadway-bound production prepares to launch a 2012 holiday engagement, the show's producers invite young performers to submit their audition within the next ten days by visiting www.AChristmasStoryTheMusical.com and following three simple steps:

A Christmas Story, The Musical! will arrive on Broadway at The Lunt-Fontanne Theatre just in time for the 2012 holiday season. Michael Haynie (Carrie), Derek Klena (Carrie), Lindsay Mendez (Godspell, Second Stage's Everyday Rapture), James Moye (Million Dollar Quartet), and Josh Segarra (Lysistrata Jones).
