Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT)'s new Artistic Director Sean Daniels opens his first season at the helm of the company with 'The Lion,' a solo-musical written and performed by Benjamin Scheuer and directed by Daniels. After highly-praised runs in Edinburgh and London, two Off-Broadway productions, and several awards, 'The Lion' is beginning a two-year national tour that launches from MRT. The gripping musical takes the audience on one man's musical journey from boyhood to manhood, through pain and healing, to discover the redemptive power of music.
BroadwayWorld has confirmed that that Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Camryn Manheim ('The Practice,' 'Ghost Whisperer'), Drama Desk Award nominee Patrick Page (Cymbeline at Shakespeare in the Park, Casa Valentina, Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark), and Theater World Award winner Russell Harvard (Tribes, 'Fargo,' There Will Be Blood), have completed the casting for Deaf West's acclaimed production of Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik's Spring Awakening, directed byMichael Arden and choreographed by Spencer Liff. Elizabeth Greene and Daniel Marmion also join the production as swings.

Levine will be featured in the LCT3/Lincoln Center Theater world premiere of KILL FLOOR, by Abe Koogler, directed by Lila Neugebauer. KILL FLOOR will begin performances Saturday, October 3, open Monday, October 19, and run for six weeks only through Sunday, November 15 at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street).
