The Abilene Christian University Theatre, under special arrangement with Theatrical Rights Worldwide, Inc., is proud to announce the Collegiate Premiere of BIG FISH for its 2014 Homecoming Musical.

A great, big Broadway season is on its way, with fourteen productions already slated to open in the next few months. With several weeks until the craziness begins, there is still plenty of time to catch up on what's been going on at Broadway's already occupied theaters . BroadwayWorld will be profiling the hits of the Great White Way that continue to draw crowds after months, years, and (in some cases) decades. The Hawai'i return of Disney's THE LION KING opens tonight, Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 7:30pm at the Blaisdell Concert Hall for a limited engagement of eight weeks through March 9, 2014. In Hawai'i, THE LION KING plays Tuesday through Thursday evenings at 7:30pm, Friday evenings at 8pm, Saturdays at 2pm and 8pm and Sundays at 1pm and 6:30pm. There will also be a 2pm matinee performance on Friday, March 7.

Disney's landmark musical event, THE LION KING, played its 6,681st performance on Saturday evening, November 30th, surpassing the original Broadway production ofLes Miserables (6,680 performances) to become the fourth longest-running show in Broadway history.

It's Broadway's long-running shows that keep Times Square bustling year-round with theatre-goers from around the world who are making it to the Great White Way for their first time. The Lion King just celebrated its 16th anniversary at the Minskoff Theatre, having played over 6660 performances.

As the 2013 calendar year comes to a close, Disney's landmark musical event, THE LION KING, celebrates several milestones around the globe.

In celebration of the 15th anniversary of "The Lion King" on Broadway, "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire," with Emmy Award-winning host Meredith Vieira, will host two principal actors from the hit musical as contestants today, December 10. Chantel Riley (Nala) and Ben Jeffrey (Pumbaa) will play "Millionaire" as a two-person team and will donate their winnings to The Actors Fund, a national human services organization that helps professionals in performing arts and entertainment in times of need, crisis or transition. The duo is guaranteed to win a minimum of $10,000 for The Actors Fund.
