Magic Theatre welcomes back Obie Award-winning playwright Taylor Mac with the world premiere of Hir, directed by Niegel Smith and running January 29 - February 23, 2014.

The San Francisco Playhouse enters its fifth season of the Sandbox Series of new plays with the return of Aaron Loeb (First Person Shooter, Abraham Lincoln's Big, Gay Dance Party) and his newest play, Ideation. Josh Costello will direct Bay Area favorites Mark Phillips*, Carrie Paff* and Michael Ray Wisely* and Ben Euphrat, Jason Kapoor.

Based on the book Zorba the Greek by Nikos Kazantzakis, this musical is a salute to the spirit of Greece, where Zorba celebrates life, but also lost love, heartbreak and death.
