Performances are Tuesday - Saturday at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday at 1 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. Preview performances are November 23 - 25. Moderated talkbacks with the cast are offered on Friday, December 7 after 7:30 p.m. show and Wednesday, December 12 after 1:00 p.m. show. I first heard of McCallum's Fine Arts Academy earlier this year when I attended their Theater Department's production of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. I was completely awestruck by the talent and professionalism of these high school students, and I immediately contacted their teacher, Joshua Denning, to learn more about their program. Known for his work on Broadway, Off-Broadway, LA Theater and Television, including the series Too Close for Comfort and The New Hollywood Squares, Jim previously performed the role of Wilbur Turnblad on Broadway. This time Jim takes the Arvada Center stage as the favorite 'Mother of the 50's forced into the 60's', Edna Turnblad. This fully staged regional production of Hairspray closes July 17, 2011.

Court Theatre continues its 53rd season with Rodgers and Hammerstein's musical, Carousel, directed by Artistic Director Charles Newell with musical direction by Doug Peck. The co-production with Long Wharf Theatre runs March 6 - April 13, 2008, at Court Theatre (5535 S. Ellis Ave). The official press opening is Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 8PM.
