Listening to the original Broadway cast album of Jerry Herman's 1969 entry, DEAR WORLD, it's almost unimaginable to think you're hearing the score of a show that shuttered on Broadway after less than four months worth of performances.
The York Theatre Company presents the final of three presentations in the Winter 2017 Musicals in Mufti Series: the 1969 musical Dear World, with book by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. The Cort Theatre box office will open Monday, February 27 at noon for INDECENT, the newest work by Pulitzer Prize-winner Paula Vogel (HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE), it was announced today by producersDaryl Roth, Elizabeth Ireland McCann and Cody Lassen. INDECENT begins previews Tuesday, April 4 and opens Tuesday, April 18 at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street, between Sixth and Seventh Avenues).

Stage Manager is Kimothy Cruse, with Assistant Stage Manager Shanna Allison. Directed by Michael Montel(director of twenty preview Musicals in Mufti presentations including Dear World, Take Me Along, and A Time for Singing), with music direction by Christopher McGovern (Cagney). Daryl Roth, Elizabeth Ireland McCann and Cody Lassen, the producers of Indecent -- the newest work by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel (HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE) -- have announced that the entire original Off-Broadway ensemble will travel to Broadway when the production begins previews at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street, between Sixth and Seventh Avenues), on April 4, prior to its official opening night on April 18.
As previously announced, the critically acclaimed Broadway production of Fiddler on the Roof will end its run on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 2:00PM. This revival will have played a total of 463 performances when it gives its final bow. Just confirmed, a National Tour is planned beginning in the fall of 2018.

Producers of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF have cancelled the Tuesday performance on October 11th, which falls out on the evening of Yom Kippur, to give company members who observe the holiday the ability to do so.
