Bay Street Theatre kicks in 2010 with a shout out to artists of every ilk; from jazz musicians to singer-songwriters to creators of musical theatre.

Gotham Chamber Opera, in partnership with the American Museum of Natural History and in association with American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.), presents Il mondo della luna (The World on the Moon) by Joseph Haydn, in a new production staged by Diane Paulus, director of Hair, which received the 2009 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical.

Tickets for RACE, the critically acclaimed new play, written and directed by DAVID MAMET, starring JAMES SPADER, DAVID ALAN GRIER, KERRY WASHINGTON and RICHARD THOMAS, have now been put on sale through JUNE 13th, 2010.

Opening night for this American premiere of WHEN THE RAIN STOPS FALLING, which is being produced by arrangement with Jean Doumanian and Freddy DeMann, is Monday, March 8 at 6:45pm.

Second Stage Theatre is pleased to announce that the critically acclaimed production of Anna Deavere Smith's LET ME DOWN EASY, has extended four weeks, through December 6. Conceived, written, and performed by Ms. Smith and directed by Leonard Foglia, LET ME DOWN EASY opened on Wednesday, October 7 and was originally scheduled to run through November 8.

Jacobs, directed by Mark Brokaw. POP! will play for 22 performances only, November 27-December 19. Opening Night is Thursday, December 3.

Due to popular demand, the critically acclaimed production of Anna Deavere Smith's LET ME DOWN EASY, now playing at Second Stage Theatre, has extended a second time and will now close on January 3, 2010. The show, which is currently extended through December 6, will not be performed December 14 - 20 due to Smith's previous commitment to perform Hymn with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater at City Center.
