Civic Theatre is pleased to announce the hiring of new Managing Director, John Hedges. As managing director, Hedges will be responsible for all business operations of Civic Theatre including supervision of the administrative staff, overseeing programs, operations and budget, and long-range and annual planning.

The Alden in McLean kicks off its next season of national and international touring artists. The Morris Museum is proud to announce that it will open the 2015-2016 season at the Bickford Theatre with a production of 'Not Now, Darling' by English playwrights Ray Cooney and John Chapman. This bawdy and fast-paced comedy will play from October 1 through October 18, 2015.

After months of preparation, including hours spent with an expert swordsman, Barter Theatre's Resident Acting Company will take up the gauntlet for themselves in the upcoming fall production of 'The Three Musketeers' beginning tonight, September 12.

Tweiss Productions and Nicholas James Opalenik/Event Horizon Productions will present a helluva show in Times Square this October, the original musical Hell's Belles, with book and lyrics by Bryan D. Leys and music by Steve Liebman. Hell's Belles will begin performances at The Elektra Theatre at The Times Square Arts Center (300 West 43rd Street) on October 3, opening October 24 for a limited run through December 27, 2015. The show features direction by John Znidarsic, music direction by Mary Feinsinger, and musical staging by Eugenio Contenti. High demand for an upcoming comedy-thriller has encouraged Barter Theatre to add 17 additional performances of the fall show, 'I'll Be Back Before Midnight.'

Virginians for the Arts (VFTA), in partnership with the Dominion Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Dominion Resources, Inc., has announced Barter Theatre's Project REAL has been chosen as the winner of the annual Dominion ArtStars Rising Star Award.

BREAD ARTS COLLECTIVE is pleased to announce the return of RISE & FALL,adapted from the Brecht by Ian Storey and BREAD, with original music by Andrew Lynch, directed by Eric Powell Holm and Katie Melby.
