Odyssey Theatre's THE RECEPTIONIST Starring Megan Mullally Closes Tonight, 11/21

Odyssey Theatre's production of Adam Bock's The Receptionist, starring Emmy-winning actress and singer Megan Mullally, has announced an extension of its run. The production, which began previews August 5 and officially opened August 15, was originally scheduled to close September 20. The show will now close November 21.

South Coast Repertory has announced the lineup of actors and directors who will participate in the 12th annual Pacific Playwrights Festival (PPF). Since its creation in 1998, PPF has grown into one of the most important festivals of new scripts in the United States. This year?s Festival will take place during the May 1 through May 3 weekend and will feature five staged readings and two fully-produced World Premieres on South Coast Repertory?s Segerstrom and Julianne Argryos Stages. At South Coast Repertory's Annual Meeting on July 30, Board President Larry Higby presented an assessment of the 2007-08 Season and introduced a new slate of officers for 2008-09, headed by incoming President Wylie Aitken. The unanimously elected executive committee will lead the theater during the 45th Season (September 1, 2008 - August 31, 2009), which will be a landmark for South Coast Repertory and its founders David Emmes and Martin Benson, America's longest-running co-artistic directors.
