EPIX Orders GET SHORTY Series

Premium TV network EPIX announced today it will go into production on Get Shorty from MGM Television. Created and executive produced by Davey Holmes ('Shameless,' 'In Treatment,' 'Damages'), the one hour drama series is a reimagining of Elmore Leonard's 1990 New York Times best-selling novel of the same name. Production on the series is anticipated to begin this fall and air summer 2017.

Deadline has confirmed earlier rumors that Neil Patrick Harris would lead Netflix's series adaptation of Lemony Snicket's A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS from Paramount TV. The Tony Award winner has officially inked a deal for the role of the villainous Count Olaf, portrayed by Jim Carrey in the 2004 film.

MasterVoices kicks off the 2015-2016 season with The Pirates of Penzance; or, The Slave of Dutyon October 15-16, 2015 at 8pm at New York City Center, 131 W. 55th Street, New York City. USA Network announced its 2015/2016 development slate with nine scripted drama projects hailing from Charlize Theron ('Monster'), Rob Reiner ('When Harry Met Sally') Barry Sonnenfeld ('Men in Black' franchise), Eric Kripke ('Supernatural,' 'Revolution'), Aaron Korsh (SUITS) and Catherine Hardwicke ('Twilight'), among others.
