Stage 72 Presents SIPPIN' ON FIRE

Sippin On Fire will be presented at Stage 72 at 158 West 72nd Street (bet Broadway-Columbus Ave) next Friday, November 13th at 9:00 p.m. Sippin' On Fire is a hot cabaret of five handsome, talented, versatile NYC-based performers --Ryan K. Bailer, Francesc Esteve, Matt Maretz, Conor McGee and Ryan Mulgrew.

Sippin On Fire will be presented at Stage 72 at 158 West 72nd Street (bet Broadway-Columbus Ave) Friday, November 13th at 9:00 p.m. Sippin' On Fire is a hot cabaret of five handsome, talented, versatile NYC-based performers --Ryan K. Bailer, Francesc Esteve, Matt Maretz, Conor McGee and Ryan Mulgrew.  They give the audience a feast for the ears and eyes. With piano, bass, drums and guitar accompaniment, the show has been conceived by with musical direction by Phil Hall.  This is a show based on pop music with some Broadway thrown as well as many songs, familiar--which gives each of the five guys to showcase their unique style and talent as well as sexiest interpretation to the stage.

Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation Announces 2014-15 Committee for Joe A. Callaway Award

Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF) has announced the 2014-2015 Committee for the Joe A. Callaway Award, the only peer-given award for excellence in direction and choreography. The Committee, which will oversee the award for the theatre season, is Sue Lawless, William Martin, Barry McNabb, Leslie (Hoban) Blake, Linda Burson, Jonathan Cerullo, Edie Cowan, Clinton Turner Davis, John Going, Richard Hamburger, Bruce Heath, Michael Montel, DJ Salisbury, and Amy Saltz. Sue Lawless will serve as Committee Chair.

Ruben Santiago-Hudson & Marlo Hunter Take Home Callaway Awards

The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF) proudly reveals this season's Joe A. Callaway Award winners for Direction and Choreography from more than 200 eligible productions in the 2012 - 2013 New York City theatre season. This year's awards will be presented to Ruben Santiago-Hudson for his direction of The Piano Lesson produced by Signature Theatre and Marlo Hunter for her choreography of Unlock'd produced by Prospect Theater Company. The winners join previous Joe A. Callaway Award Winners including Susan Stroman (1991), Harold Prince (1993), Julie Taymor (1996), Jack O'Brien (2001), Bartlett Sher (2002), Daniel Sullivan (2004), John Tiffany (2012) and Steven Hoggett (2012).

Irish Rep Announces Four-Week Extension of DONNYBROOK thru April 28

Irish Repertory Theatre announces a four-week extension of DONNYBROOK!-a musical based on the movie 'The Quiet Man,' with music and lyrics by Johnny Burke and book by Robert E. McEnroe-with Off-Broadway performances now set to run through April 28 on the company's Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage Theatre (132 West 22nd Street). Charlotte Moore (2012 Callaway Award finalist for DANCING AT LUGHNASA) directs.

James Barbour, Jenny Powers to Lead Irish Rep's DONNYBROOK!, Beginning 2/7

Irish Repertory Theatre continues its 25th Anniversary Season with DONNYBROOK! -a musical based on the movie 'The Quiet Man,' with music and lyrics by Johnny Burke and book by Robert E. McEnroe-with previews set to begin February 7, prior to its official Off-Broadway opening on Sunday, February 17 on the company's Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage Theatre (132 West 22nd Street).
