Paper Mill Playhouse presents the East Coast premiere of Half Time, a new musical, with book by Bob Martin and Chad Beguelin, music by Matthew Sklar, lyrics by Nell Benjamin and additional music by Marvin Hamlisch and Ester Dean. Half Time began performances May 31, 2018 for a limited engagement through Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, NJ. Last night was the show's opening night. The Old Globe, together with Children's Theatre Company (CTC), and in partnership with The Old Vic, today updated information for Dr. Seuss's The Lorax in its U.S. premiere. The production, based on the book The Lorax by Dr. Seuss, is adapted for the stage by David Greig (Artistic Director of Royal Lyceum Theatre Company; recent work: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Cover My Tracks) with music and lyrics written by Charlie Fink (front man/songwriter for the hit musical group Noah and the Whale, 2007-2015).
German Krautrock legends faUSt will be embarking on their Vagabondages in North America tour in July 2018! faUSt is an experimental rock band which came out of the Hamburg music scene in the late sixties. Formed in Wümme in 1971, faUSt were the first band to have the term “krautrock” applied to their music, and to the genre that ensued. German for “fist,” and also the protagonist of Goethe's eponymous play, faUSt were one of the first bands to use the recording studio as an instrument. Their live appearances were explosive (literally), as the pinball machines and jack-hammer legends detail.
The Laguna Playhouse raised $1.7 Million at their annual gala held on May 12, 2018 at Island Hotel in Newport Beach, California. Attended by 400 playhouse patrons, the sold-out event featured a VIP Sponsors Reception, an elegant dinner, live and silent auction, entertainment and a special performance by 'Phantom of the Opera' star Davis Gaines. Honored at the event were the Moulton Family and South Coast Plaza.

The Gallery at The Sheen Center (18 Bleecker Street, NYC) presents 'LR9: 1957,' a multimedia group exhibition inspired by the Little Rock Nine. Curated by Ajamu Kojo, the exhibition includes oil painting, collage, sculture, found-object art and projected film works by artists including Patrick Earl Barnes, Kimberly Becoat, Paul Deo, Aimee Everett, Chet Gold, Aaqil Ka, Ajamu Kojo, Roni Nicoleand Valincy-Jean Patelli. The exhibition is open to the public through August 3. The Gallery is open daily from 9AM to 11PM. All works on exhibition are available for purchase.
Disney's Aladdin is celebrating a sold-out, two-week premiere engagement in Cincinnati, which concluded on June 10 at the Aronoff Center. The touring production, which the Cincinnati Enquirer called, "an outright spectacle; glitzy, playful, sassy and extravagant," grossed over $2.8 million at the box office and entertained more than 40,000 theatergoers during 16 performances.
We're Going on a Bear Hunt announces full cast for the smash-hit production which returns to the West End at Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue from 4 July, ten years after its first UK tour. Benjamin Hills (Dog/Musician), Rebecca Newman (Girl) and Thos Wainwright (Dad) return to the cast and they will be joined by Joey Hickman (Boy).
