Today's subject, Kristin Chenoweth, has been living her theatre life to the fullest since 1993 when Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, NJ cast her as the ingénue in their production of Animal Crackers. The show effectively launched her career and she went on to become a Tony Award-winning actress, and a highly successful recording and concert artist. She has also made many appearances on television and in film. On April 8th you will have the privilege of seeing this immense talent live onstage at The Music Center at Strathmore and, judging from past performances, it's going to a great evening of music.

Schimmel Center at Pace University concludes its 2018-19 Cabaret Series with an evening of standards and musical theater selections composed by women titled Baby, Dream Your Dream: The Great Women Songwriters today, March 9, 2019 at 7:30pm. The MAC (Milford Arts Council) and Pantochino Productions announce a very special Nite Spot Night event on April 6th at 8pm. The MAC, located at 40 Railroad Avenue South in downtown Milford CT, will be turned into a piano bar for one night only! With the baby grand piano in the center of the room, patrons will be seated at tables around the room (and even on stage) as acclaimed Broadway actor/pianist Michael "Mac" McAssey will sing and play favorite show tunes and pop music. The audience will be invited to sing along with Mac. Guests are also encouraged to come early and bring their favorite drinks and food for a "bring your own" -style night. The Speakeasy Lounge will be open for concessions as well.

When I saw the Baltimore Symphony SuperPops would be featuring vocalist Christina Bianco I had no idea what she would be like. Then I started to hear from people who actually have seen her in concert and raved about her. It became quite clear it would be necessary for me to see this musician for myself.
