PEN America will recognize Academy Award-winning writer-director Barry Jenkins with the Award for Screenplay Excellence at the 2018 LitFest Gala in Beverly Hills.

Continuing at Cape May Stage is the World Premiere of The Shuck by Shawn Fisher. This world premiere by a Cape May native provides a gritty look inside the life of Constance, an oyster boat captain who is forced to face the truth about her family and the secrets that broke them apart so many years ago.

Theater J's 2018 Annual Benefit is an elegant and lively evening of theater, socializing, and delectable food and drink at Arena Stage. The centerpiece of the event is a "sneak peek" reading of Ken Ludwig's brand new play Dear Jack, Dear Louise. The Streamy Awards will join forces with Milk-Bone to award one amazing dog with this special recognition. This honor celebrates bravery, overcoming obstacles, and strong personality and loyalty traits that make all dogs truly special. These qualities will be exemplified in three selected finalists, which will be announced on October 1st.

Inside the Actors Studio has partnered with Ovation TV to to produce and air future episodes of the series, according to Variety. The show, which has aired on Bravo since it began in 1994, is an award-winning interview series about the art of acting. As part of the agreement, Ovation will curate content from the series' extensive library for additional episodes.
