On Tuesday, March 27th, B.D. Wong will host "Passing It On: An Evening of Mentorship to Benefit Rosie's Theater Kids." The event, which will take place at 7pm at Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theater, will feature Audra McDonald (on pre-taped video), Derick Grant, Zakya Young and Brandon Victor Dixon.
Helping Michael to navigate his two realities are his bureau-assigned therapists Dr. Evans (Tony Award-winner Cherry Jones; THE HEIRESS, DOUBT) and Dr. Lee (Tony Award-winner B.D. Wong; M. BUTTERFLY). While both therapists work to untangle his two worlds, Michael has no interest in proving either one is false. But when memories of the accident begin to haunt him, he is forced to confront the truth about what really happened the night of the crash.

Written by and starring Drake, this drag tragicomedy with music is directed by Robert La Fosse (Tony Award nominee for Jerome Robbins' Broadway) featuring musical direction by Lance Cruce (Joan River's longtime pianist, Karen Finley's Make Love), original music by Trevor Kuprel, and video by Ned Stresen Reuter. Today in 1976, Pacific Overtures opened at the Winter Garden Theatre, where it ran for 193 performances. With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, a libretto by John Weidman, and additional material by Hugh Wheeler, the musical is set in 1853 Japan and follows the difficult Westernization of Japan, through the lives of two friends caught in the change. The original Broadway production of Pacific Overtures in 1976 was presented in Kabuki style, with men playing women's parts and set changes made in full view of the audience by people dressed in black. A Broadway revival ran at Studio 54 from December 2, 2004 to January 30, 2005, directed by Amon Miyamoto and starring B.D. Wong as the Narrator and several members of the original cast.
