Nylon Fusion Theatre Company presents an unflinching look at the Hollywood machine and the secrets and lies that feed it, in Joseph Samuel Wright's Unmentionables. Directed by Montserrat Mendez, Unmentionables will be performed at Theatre 54, located at 224 West 54th Street, between April 2 and April 19. Members of the press are invited as of Saturday, April 4th.

The cast includes Tony-winner Nina Arianda; Emmy, Oscar and Tony-winner Ellen Burstyn; Golden Globe winner Kim Cattrall; Obie winner Alvin Epstein; Obie winner Brian Murray; television stars John Pankow and Hunter Parrish; Obie winner Austin Pendleton. The staged reading is directed by Cosmin Chivu with original music by Jesse Selengut.

The trio discusses their collaboration on Guirgis' new play, Between Riverside and Crazy at the Second Stage Theatre, about the off beat world of an aging police officer whose career was cut short in a shooting. In a freewheeling conversation, they also talk about the inspirations for their successful careers, as well as the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, who got his first break from Pendleton and later was Guirgis' mentor and collaborator.

the cell in association with The Furies will present a newly adapted version of Henrik Ibsen's GHOSTS entitled GHOSTS AFTER IBSEN written by Thomas Kilroy and directed by Austin Pendleton. American Playwriting Foundation Forms New Award in Honor of Philip Seymour Hoffman

The American Playwriting Foundation, established to make annual grants to new American plays, announced today The Relentless Award, the largest annual cash prize in American theater awarded to a playwright in recognition of a new play. Established in honor of Philip Seymour Hoffman and his pursuit of truth in the theater, The Relentless Award will honor an unproduced play with $45,000, laying the groundwork for the future of American Theater. The American Playwriting Foundation is now open for submissions, and the deadline is July 10, 2015. Three finalists and one winner will be announced on October 2, 2015.
