Rainn Wilson to Emcee Steppenwolf Gala; Chris Rock Guest Auctioneer

Steppenwolf Theatre Company celebrates 42 seasons of innovative ensemble theatre with an evening of celebration emceed by actor Rainn Wilson, who will be starring in The Doppelganger (an international farce) at Steppenwolf this spring and is well-known for his role as "Dwight Schrute" on NBC's award-winning comedy The Office. Comedian, actor, director and producer Chris Rock, who is best known for his standup comedy and who starred in the world premiere Broadway production of The Motherf**ker with the Hat directed by Steppenwolf Artistic Director Anna D. Shapiro, will be the guest auctioneer alongside Christie's Robbie Gordy.

Steppenwolf's THE DOPPELGANGER Starring Rainn Wilson Begins Rehearsals Today

Rehearsals kicked off today for Steppenwolf Theatre Company's highly anticipated world premiere comedy, The Doppelganger (an international farce) written by Chicagoland native Matthew-Lee Erlbach (Showtime's Masters of Sex, Off-Broadway's Handbook for an American Revolutionary).

Steppenwolf Announces New Ensemble Members

Steppenwolf Theatre Company Artistic Director Anna D. Shapiro announced today the addition of Celeste M. Cooper and Cliff Chamberlain to the world-renowned Steppenwolf ensemble. Cooper, an in-demand Chicago-based actor, recently performed in Steppenwolf's production of BLKS and Chamberlain, a regular on the Steppenwolf stage, was recently featured in The Minutes by ensemble member Tracy Letts.

THE INVISIBLE HAND Extends at Steep Theatre

With only a few tickets remaining for its original run, Steep Theatre has added four more performances of The Invisible Hand. This powerful play has fascinated audiences and critics alike. The Invisible Hand will run through Saturday, November 18.

Cast Announced for Steep Theatre's THE INVISIBLE HAND

Steep Theatre's 17th season will open this fall with the Chicago premiere of Pulitzer Prize winner Ayad Akhtar's The Invisible Hand, directed by Audrey Francis. Akhtar won the Pulitzer for his play Disgraced, which premiered in 2012 at American Theatre Company in Chicago and later played both at the Goodman Theatre and on Broadway.

2017 DAMN THESE HEELS LGBT Film Festival Announced!

Utah Film Center announced today the feature films selected for the 14th annual Damn These Heels Film Festival. Damn These Heels will run July 14 - 16, 2017 at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center and is a celebration of independent, documentary, and foreign films from around the world that explore LGBTQ issues, ideas, and art.  Passes and tickets are now on sale on the Utah Film Center's website.
