Award winning musical theater writers Richard Allen and Taran Gray have announced they will be premiering four of their new original musicals virtually to raise money for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) and Broadway for Racial Justice (BFRJ).

OPERA America, the national service organization for opera and the nation's leading champion for American opera, is pleased to announce that 16 participants from the United States, Canada and Latin America have been selected for its 2019 Leadership Intensive program. These future industry leaders were chosen through a competitive selection process focusing on candidates' potential to make significant contributions to the opera field. Former Broadway star and TV's The Voice contestant Tony Vincent's wife Aspen Vincent, who acted alongside him in American Idiot, Dirty Dancing's national tour and met him on the set of Las Vegas' We Will Rock You, gave birth to a baby girl last night.

More than 100 local and national theatre artists representing more than 40 San Diego theatrical productions at a dozen local theaters will compete for the 2011 Craig Noel Awards on Feb. 6, the San Diego Theatre Critics Circle announced today.
