Anyone who travels for work knows that living out of suitcases and sleeping in hotels every night can be taxing. Well, recently three members of the SISTER ACT First National Tour decided to liven up life on the road by creating 'Sunday Intermission Cover.' However with the impending end of their tour just weeks away, they have a challenge for all Broadway and Touring shows: Make a cover of a song during your 15-minute intermission on Sunday and post it to their website.

Ta'Rea Campbell (Deloris) and Ashley Moniz (Sister Mary Robert) are joined by nuns Roberta Wall (Mary Lazarus), Jessica Sheridan, Erin Henry, Carla Woods, Micaela Martinez, Natalie Storrs, Dawn Rother, Stephanie Hayslip, Amy Persons, and Angie Marie Smith.

Cast members from the First National Tour of Sister Act the Musical have started a series called 'Sunday Intermission Covers' aka #SIC. During their 15-minute Sunday intermission, the actors race to a dressing room and record a quick cover before the Places call… in costume. On Tuesday night, Sister Act: The Musical opened at Tennessee Performing Arts Center in Nashville. Based on the 1992 movie of the same name, the musical has music by Alan Menkin and lyrics by Glen Slater. If you are a fan of the movie, you'll see many of your favorite moments, along with a few new things to keep you interested. If you don't know the movie, you'll meet a lively cast of characters and get a story full of laughs.

The national tour of SISTER ACT comes to Hershey Theatre with a heady mix of nunsense and the sound of Philadelphia as filtered through Alan Menken. The music -- and the Mother Superior -- are worth the trip.

In the beginning, Touchstone released a 1992 comedy starring Whoopi Goldberg. And Touchstone saw the profits and they were good . And Touchstone said, 'Let there be a sequel,' and there was a sequel. And Touchstone called the sequel 'Back in the Habit' . . . and so on. Now, twenty-one years later, Deloris Van Cartier, aspiring diva thrust into a convent for witness protection has come to the Memphis Orpheum.

Based on the hit 1992 of the same name, the musical version of SISTER ACT just might be more entertaining in a lot of ways. Since the star of the film, the multi-talented Whoopi Goldberg, is producing it as well, that might explain why it has a certain darkness around the edges. In any event, the current production playing the Fox Theatre (though December 1, 2013) is an inspirational delight.

With its consistent sense of humor, dazzling costumes, and powerhouse voices, this touring company of SISTER ACT delivers a delightfully sassy night of musical theatre.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts presents the national tour of Sister Act for two weeks in the Kennedy Center Opera House from October 29 to November 10, 2013. Nominated for five 2011 Tony Awards, Sister Act features an original score with music by multi-Academy, Grammy, and Golden Globe Award-winning composer Alan Menken (Little Shop of Horrors, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaidand Enchanted), lyrics by Tony and Academy Award-nominee Glenn Slater (The Little Mermaid), and a book by multi-Emmy Award winners Cheri and Bill Steinkellner ("Cheers") with additional book material by Tony and Olivier Award nominee Douglas Carter Beane (Xanadu, The Little Dog Laughed).Directed on Broadway by four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks (Guys and Dolls, A Funny Thing…Forum, Smokey Joe's Cafe), the production features choreography by Tony and Olivier Award nominee Anthony Van Laast (Mamma Mia, Bombay Dreams) and is based on the Touchstone Pictures motion picture Sister Act written by Joseph Howard. Producers Whoopi Goldberg, Stage Entertainment and Troika Entertainment have announced that the North American Tour of the five-time Tony Award nominated musical SISTER ACT will begin its second year of performances. The tour opened on October 2, 2012 at Toronto's Ed Mirvish Theatre and is still rocking the rafters across the country. SISTER ACT opened to stellar reviews and continues to receive them across the country.
