United Scenic Artists Local 829 is trying to stir its members and constituents to let the New York Times know their latest practices in crediting theatre are not acceptable.
Yesterday, July 12, The New York Times awarded Kristoffer Diaz the 2011 New York Times Outstanding Playwright Award for his play 'The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity,' produced in New York by Second Stage Theatre.
On May 13 Dan Le Franc was awarded the 2010 New York Times Outstanding Playwright Away for isplay SIXTY MILES TO SILVER LAKE. During the ceremony Arthur Sulzberger, Jr, publisher of the New York Times presented Le Franc the award and a check for $5,000.
