BroadwayWorld has just officially learned that Steve Martin's new play METEOR SHOWER will be coming to Broadway's Booth Theatre this fall starring Emmy and Peabody Award-winning comedian Amy Schumer, Tony-winner Laura Benanti, another Emmy and Peabody Award-winner Keegan-Michael Key, and Alan Tudyk.

Following in the footsteps of PARADE, CHESS  and IN THE HEIGHTS; this summer White Plains Performing Arts Center STAGE 2 will present the ground-breaking musical masterpiece, WEST SIDE STORY, running July 28-30 and August 4-6.

This updated retelling of Romeo and Juliet is set in 1950s New York City, yet its themes of racism and hatred of anything deemed "different" ring especially true in today's political climate, sadly. WEST SIDE STORY is a compelling reminder of just how much hatred, prejudice, and ignorance can destroy what we all hold so dear. One of Lyric's most fully realized productions I can think of in recent memory…do yourself a favor and allow the message of this piece to penetrate your heart and mind - for truly great art has the power to influence the world.

The international touring company of the beloved classic musical "West Side Story," which features music by Leonard Bernstein, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and book by Arthur Laurents, will come to The Theatre at Solaire (Aseana Avenue, Solaire Resort and Casino) next month, August 10-27.

New London Barn Playhouse presents West Side Story, running now through August 6, directed by Keith Coughlin and choreographed by Michael Jablonski, with music direction by Jonathan Parks. Based on a conception of Jerome Robbins, West Side Story features book by Arthur Laurents, music by Leonard Bernstein, and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. Due to ticket demand, Scottsdale Musical Theater Company has added a Sunday evening performance of their upcoming production of West Side Story, at Tempe Center for the Arts  (700 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe AZ), playing August 17 - 20, 2017.

For 12 years running, the FSCJ Artist series and the Wilson Center for the Arts has produced an Annual High School Summer Musical Theatre Experience. This year brings WEST SIDE STORY, a mammothly essential piece of work to all musical theatre lovers. With book by Arthur Laurents, music by Leonard Bernstein, and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, WEST SIDE STORY is often heralded as a top 5 work of theatre. The show runs through July 30th, and tickets are available here.

Musicals at Richter (MAR), celebrating its 33rd season as the longest-running outdoor theater in Connecticut, continues its summer season with 'West Side Story,' the explosive musical retelling of the Romeo and Juliet story set against the backdrop of rival street gangs in 1950s New York City. Staged on the grounds of the Richter Arts Center in Danbury July 7 through 22, performances take place outdoors under the stars Friday through Sunday evenings at 8:30 p.m., with additional specially discounted performances on Thursday, July 13 and 20.

West Side Story will come to the MasterCard Theatres at the Marina Bay Sands resort in Singapore this fall.

GYPSY has announced its cast and creative team at the Lyric Stage Company of Boston.

Phoenix Productions will present its revival of West Side Story at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank for a two-weekend run beginning July 14th.
