Bay Street Theatre presents the final production of the 2013 Mainstage Season with A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM, beginning August 6 and running through September 1. The show stars Peter Scolari with Conrad John Schuck and Jackie Hoffman. The book is by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart with lyrics and music by Stephen Sondheim; music direction by Ethyl Will; and directed and choreographed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge.

The Assoicated Press reports that British filmmaker and 'Death Wish' director Michael Winner has died at the age of 77. The news was shared by his wife Geraldine this morning. Winner passed away at his home in London following an illness.

With a career encompassing Broadway, TV and film, veteran comic actress Jane Kean is best known for playing Trixie Norton in the hour-long color, musical version of the Honeymooners series (1966-70). Kean presented her one-woman show onstage at the Colony Saturday September 8.

Damals waren Art Carney und Walter Matthau als 'odd couple' zu sehen. Matthau wiederholte seine Bühnenrolle dann wenig später in der Verfilmung von Gene Saks mit Jack Lemmon als Felix. Am Samstag Abend feierte dasbeliebte Stück Premiere in der Inszenierung von Adelheid Müther.
