Known for her energetic stage shows and pioneering presence as a female artist, the one-and-only Wanda Jackson - popularly known as the Queen of Rockabilly and the First Lady of Rock & Roll - has returned to Nashville to work on new music. Fellow female Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame member, Joan Jett, is producing the project. The as-yet-unnamed project is currently anticipated for a 2019 release. After decades of recording covers, Jackson hit the writing room for this project, co-writing with many hit Nashville songwriters including Angaleena Presley of the Pistol Annies. 'Ex's and Oh's' singer Elle King also contributed a song to the project.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater announces the cast for the North American premiere of Jessica Swale's exuberant new comedy Nell Gwynn, September 20-November 4, 2018. The music- and dance-filled play took London audiences by storm when it debuted at Shakespeare's Globe, followed by a celebrated run on the West End. Director of the original London production, Christopher Luscombe, helms the new Chicago Shakespeare production. Star of Broadway and the West End Scarlett Strallen appears as Nell; Chicago leading actor Timothy Edward Kane performs the role of King Charles II.

Synetic's OZ has moved to a new location: Devine Theater At Georgetown University July 11 Through August 12. The location is changing because the performance space at Synetic Theater (1800 S. Bell St.) is temporarily unavailable due to excessive water damage from a sprinkler system/pipe malfunction. The resulting damage has forced the team to move its upcoming production of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz to the Devine Theater located in the Davis Performing Arts Center on the Georgetown University campus.

As the brand-new Interim Executive Producer of Theatre Arlington I am thrilled to announce our brand-new 2018-2019 season. We had to make some changes in our season due to national tours and licensing restrictions. One show change affects the balance of the season as a whole and gave me the opportunity to make new artistic choices.

The recipient of the 1949 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the Tony Award for best play, "Death of a Salesman" is indisputably a landmark of American art. 'Death of a Salesman' runs July 13, 2018 thru August 4, 2018 Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 2pm with an additional Thursday performance on August 2, 2018 at 8pm. The Classics Theatre Project's Artistic Director Joey Folsom today announced casting and creative team details for the Company's inaugural production, in a new adaptation by Ben Schroth of Anton Chekov's The Cherry Orchard. The Cherry Orchard, directed by Joey Folsom, will run June 21 - July 14, 2018 in the Kim Dawson Theatre at the The Trinity River Arts Center.
