OUTSIDE SATAN (HORS SATAN), the breathtaking and provocative new feature directed by Bruno Dumont, will be the opening night film of the Museum of the Moving Image's two-week showcase FIRST LOOK. This feature opens the Museum's second annual showcase for inventive, groundbreaking new international cinema, which includes 26 works-feature-length and short films-from Argentina, Brazil, France, the United States, and more.

Vassar Drama Department Presents LYSISTRATA, 12/6-8

The Vassar Drama department will present three performances of Aristophanes' comedic satire about war and sex, Lysistrata, directed by guest artist Ianthe Demos, on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, December 6, 7, and 8, at 8:00pm, in the Martel Theater of the Vogelstein Center for Drama and Film. Demos, a 2000 Vassar graduate, co-founded the critically acclaimed One Year Lease theater company (OYL) in 2001 and their work has been widely praised by the New York Times and New York magazine among other outlets. Reservations are required for these free public performances, and can be made by calling the Drama department box office at (845) 437-5599 or emailing boxoffice@vassar.edu. Labyrinth Theater Company, the award-winning, downtown ensemble previously announced the complete cast and creative team for their World Premiere production of Radiance, written by Cusi Cram and directed by Suzanne Agins. The complete cast of the upcoming production of Radiance includes Kelly AuCoin (Julius Caesar, Julie & Julia) and Ana Reeder (Top Girls, Sight Unseen), as well as Labyrinth Company Members Kohl Sudduth (The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, Take Me Out) and Aaron Roman Weiner (Thinner Than Water, The Glass Menagerie).

Kicking off its 61st season, Minneapolis' Theatre in the Round presents the hilariously irreverent and uniquely relevant Greek classic, LYSISTRATA. First performed in 411 B.C., the show's lewd humor is still enthralling audiences today-and rightfully so. The production runs from September 7 through September 30, 2012, so audiences have plenty of time to catch Craig Johnson's wildly entertaining adaptation.
