From July 25-29, Broadway performer Arbender Robinson and other guest artists will direct the 'Triple Threat Performer Intensive' - a week-long intensive in the study of theater arts that will help young aspiring performers become stronger and more dynamic in their art and will provide the tools required to become a true Triple Threat Performer.

The Tony Award-winning revival of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical returned to Broadway on July 5 at the St. James Theatre. The Tony Award-winning revival of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical returns to Broadway tonight at the St. James Theatre. The 10-week only ‘Summer of Love' run will conclude on September 10, 2011.

New York's Public Theater announced today that the Tony Award-winning revival of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical, which returns to Broadway for a 10-week only ‘Summer of Love' run, is going back to its free theatre roots by giving away 100 tickets for the show's first performance on Tuesday, July 5th to the first 100 lucky fans in line at the St. James Theatre. Tickets (1 per person) will be distributed at 1:00 PM on July 5. Fans waiting in line are encouraged to dress in their best HAIR inspired hippie attire; just before tickets are distributed at 1:00 PM, cast members will select the best dressed male and female winners, who will win a walk-on role in a future performance of HAIR, along with five tickets so that their family and friends can watch them join the tribe. Tickets may be anywhere in the theatre and are non-transferrable. HAIR will officially open at the St. James Theatre on Wednesday, July 13th and play through September 10, 2011.

The 2009 Tony Award-winning Musical Revival HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical directed by Diane Paulus is headed back to Broadway for a limited run at the St. James Theater (currently home to AMERICAN IDIOT). The show will play from July 5 - September 10, before heading back onto the road. Several cast members stopped by the St. James to visit their new home this morning and BroadwayWorld was on hand for the photo op!

The overall experience of seeing 'Hair' is exhilarating, as if some pent-up emotion lying dormant for decades is finally being let out into the air, but this revival feels inauthentic, a little like the Disney ride version of the decade and cultural upheaval that changed our society in so many important ways.
