Julia Murney (Wicked, The Wild Party), Brittain Ashford (Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812) and Rema Webb (Escape to Margaritaville, The Color Purple) will be the featured vocalists in the April 22nd installment of 'Russ Kaplan's Broadway Jazz Session,' the popular series which presents In Transit composer Kaplan's innovative jazz interpretations of current Broadway favorites.
As previously announced, the acclaimed Second Act Series, which has presented an array of lesser-known musicals in concert, will celebrate the short-lived Charles Strouse and Alan Jay Lerner musical Dance A Little Closer at New York's Green Room 42 on Monday, April 16th at 7:00pm. The one-night-only concert reading will star Beautiful's Julia Knitel (Bye, Bye, Birdie), currently starring in A Letter to Harvey Milk as Cynthia Drama Desk Award-winner Ed Dixon (Georgie, Sunday In The Park With George, Les Miserables) in the role created by his lifelong friend and colleague George Rose. Joining them as Bebe is Cheryl Howard, returning to the role she originated in the original 1983 production, and Arbender Robinson (The Book of Mormon, Shuffle Along, In Transit) as Charles, the role originated by Brent Barrett.

Feinstein's/54 Below and the acclaimed Second Act Series presents the short-lived musical sequel Bring Back Birdie in concert for one performance only, tonight, November 1st, starring Broadway's Lenora Nemetz (Gypsy, The Rink, Chicago) as Rose Peterson and Arbender Robinson (Shuffle Along, Les Miserables, Beautiful and more) as Mr. Mtobe.
The producers of The Second Act Series have also announced that the special, one-night-only concert will feature two songs cut during the show's original preview period, neither of which have been heard since.
