Disney Theatrical Productions today announced that new cast will join the London production of THE LION KING from May 2016. Alongside changes in the ensemble cast, Nicholas Afoa is to take on the role of Simba at the Lyceum Theatre.

?Initially booking for a limited 4 week run, Tony Award-winning Broadway musical In The Heights has extended its run at King's Cross Theatre for a third time, now booking for an additional 6 months until Sunday 30 October 2016. Nathan Amzi will return to In The Heights for a limited two-week run, playing Piragua Guy from Monday 21 December 2015 to Sunday 3 January 2016. Nathan originated the role in the London production when it premiered at Southwark Playhouse in 2014. In The Heights recently extended its run at King's Cross Theatre for a second time, now booking for an additional 3 months until Sunday 10 April 2016.

The return to London of CATS has been considered a big hit, with the show extending multiple times, and already planning a limited run return for next year. Currently starring in the UK production is Kerry Ellis, through the end of April. Now it sounds like we'll be seeing the Jellicle Ball back on Broadway next year!

According to the Daily Mail, Andrew Lloyd Webber wants Cats to return to the London Palladium over the holiday season next December before the musical pounces back to Broadway in 2016 -- hopefully starring Nicole Scherzinger.

He told DM: 'Cats will now definitely go to Broadway again. It's very exciting.'
