One of the best Theater experience in Stockholm each summer is the Open Air Theaters. The coucil founded 'Stadsteatern' moves out to various parks as 'Parkteatern' during the summer months and have a variety of plays, music events, children plays and each one on musical. This year it is Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley's 'Stop the World - I Want To Get Off'.

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Kay Cole in Souvenir on August 8, 2018. Souvenir is a wonderfully entertaining journey through a life in show business, from childhood to now. Her career has spanned six decades and Souvenir features songs from the many shows she's done, including Bye Bye Birdie, The Music Man, Best Foot Forward, Stop the World - I Want to Get Off, The Roar of the Greasepaint, The Smell of the Crowd, Hair, and, of course, A Chorus Line, but also features songs about life and love along the way.  It's a show filled with her unique humor and warmth and positivity.

Due to huge demand, new tickets to the spectacular new musical Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will go on sale on Friday 22 June at 4pm. Roald Dahl's treasured tale will be playing at Sydney's Capitol Theatre from 8 January 2019, produced by John Frost, Craig Donnell, Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures, Langley Park Productions and Neal Street Productions.

Broadway Kids Jam has released their latest jam, 'Pure Imagination' from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the Musical. This jam features Mckayla Twiggs (Anastasia, Les Miserables, Once), and Joshua Turchin (The Pill, TrevorLIVE LA, A Christmas Story the Musical).

Complete cast and crew were announced today for Circle's Chicago premiere production of THE VIEW UPSTAIRS, a musical by Max Vernon, whose musical KPOP last week won Best Musical honors in off-Broadway's Lortel Awards and is also nominated for seven Drama Desk awards. THE VIEW UPSTAIRS, which opened off-Broadway in February 2017, is inspired by real life events of the 1973 arson attack at the UpStairs Lounge, a vibrant gay bar in New Orleans. Now accepted as a targeted anti-gay attack, the arson resulted in the deaths of 32 people and was, until the 2016 Orlando Pulse Nightclub shooting, the deadliest assault on a gay club in U.S. history. The show is inspired by and pays tributes to many of the patrons that frequented the venue.

Jump For Joy! The Off-Broadway cast recording of the New York premiere production of the new musical Unexpected Joy, with book and lyrics by Bill Russell (Side Show) and music by Janet Hood (Elegies for Angels, Punks, and Raging Queens with Bill Russell), will be recorded and released by JAY Records. Produced by John Yap, the recording will feature the original cast of The York Theatre Company production who will gather at Sear Sound Studios (353 West 48th Street) on Monday, May 14, 2018 to lay down the tracks for the recording.

In a production commissioned by the Finborough Theatre as part of their acclaimed 'Celebrating British Music Theatre' series, the first professional UK production since its 1980 premiere, The Biograph Girl by Warner Brown and David Heneker opens at the Finborough Theatre for a three week limited season on Tuesday, 22 May 2018 (Press Nights: Thursday, 24 May and Friday 25 May 2018 at 7.30pm)

Internationally known film composer, arranger, orchestrator and music professor Chris Boardman will provide insights on composing music for film during the Nashville Composers Association's annual Score-Com Symposium from June 17-18 (Saturday-Sunday) in Nashville.

Tickets to the spectacular new musical Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will go on sale on Friday 4 May at 4pm, with pre-sales beginning today. Fans can purchase tickets for performances from 8 January to 3 February 2019.

Roald Dahl's treasured tale is now Australia's Golden Ticket! It was announced today that theatre producers John Frost, Craig Donnell, Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures, Langley Park Productions and Neal Street Productions will be bringing the spectacular new musical Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to Sydney's Capitol Theatre in January 2019.

The soulful songs and glamorous nightlife of the 1950s will swing once more when CabaretFest returns to Provincetown May 31 to June 3. Twenty-eight cabaret entertainers from Boston, New York City, Florida and Palm Springs, will participate in ten live shows, a Q&A luncheon panel session, two performance workshops, two Marilyn Maye Master Classes, and enjoy parties and networking along with VIP pass holders. The VIP pass includes entry to all the live shows, opportunities to monitor workshops and invitations to private parties. Festival Producer Patricia Fitzpatrick sums it up like this: 'Where else can you walk a few yards, see and hear so many of the nation's top cabaret performers in one place? Only in Provincetown. Provincetown is like Broadway with sand.'

Award-Winning Vocalist Stearns Matthews Continues #RESIDENCY at Laurie Beechman Theatre with ME & THE GERSHTWINS: The Songs of George & Ira Gershwin, Tuesday, March 13th at 7pm

Each time I attend An Evening of Classic Broadway at Rockwell Table and Stage, I leave refreshed and revel in the tunes I just heard. Monday February 12's show, a salute to Valentine's Day, was certainly no exception. On the bill were incredible talents musical director Brad Ellis and producer Dianne Fraser, Diane Vincent, Julie Garnye, David Burnham, Caitlin Gallogly, Terron Brooks, Stanton Kane Morales and Autumn Reeser.

Philip Torre, a baritone who has appeared on the stages of Lyric Opera of Chicago, New York City Opera, Boston Lyric Opera and others, will perform the title role of Stephen Sondheim's SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET. The production's Mrs. Lovett will be Jacquelyne Jones, who just completed a run in Firebrand Theatre's acclaimed production of LIZZIE and appeared in Theo Ubique's HONKY TONK ANGELS as well as Kokandy Productions' HEATHERS last season.
