With the holiday season right around the corner, Connecticut Public Television (CPTV) hosts one the most highly anticipated live concert performances of the season: The Irish Tenors Reunion: 2011 Holiday Spectacular at the Bushnell's Mortensen Hall in Hartford. The VIP musical wine reception on Thurs., October 20, 2011, hosted by the ONE Campaign at the Embassy of New Zealand in Washington, D.C. for the USO and Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, was a triumphant success. This was the first time that the ONE Campaign teamed up with Irish Tenor Anthony Kearns for the USO, and the second time the New Zealand Embassy hosted Kearns for a military benefit. (The last time was Christmas 2010).

The Embassy of New Zealand and the ONE Campaign will host 'A Special Tribute to U.S. Military Members, Their Families and Their Legacies,' Thursday, October 20, 2011, from 6-8pm. Featuring a special performance by world-renowned tenor Anthony Kearns, the invitation-only ticketed Embassy gala will benefit the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF) and the USO of Metropolitan Washington.

Anthony Kearns, founding member of The Irish Tenors, will sing a concert accompanied by Patrick Healy on piano, highlighting the music of his homeland, popular Broadway favorites, and time honored classics.

Wexford Institute and the Irish American Heritage Center present Anthony Kearns in a solo concert of favorite songs from Ireland to Broadway to popular classics on Saturday, October 15 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are available at irish-american.org. Kearns insists that 'People need to come out and enjoy themselves...tap their toes, forget their woes, clap their hands, sing along, and have a good ol' time!'
