Charleston Playhouse has announced that Season Tickets for their Broadway Cabaret Series are on sale now through Sunday, November 14.

This pilot-season of theatrical reality TV revolves around the making of a new two-act Off-Broadway musical, Little House on the Ferry, for which the cast and crew are given only a month and a sum of $10,000 to create a backer's edition of the show, in the hopes of getting more funding to take it on the road.

 Australian playwright and composer Luke Byrneis excited to announce his original new musical Between the Sea and Sky will make its Off-Broadway debut later this summer as part of the 2018 New York Musical Festival's (NYMF) Next Link Project. The Rose Art Museum has announced that work by B. Ingrid Olson has been selected for acquisition by the Sam Hunter Emerging Artists Acquisition Fund Committee. Inspired by the legacy of the Rose's founding director, Sam Hunter, the ?fund is generated annually and administered by a committee that aims to collect the work of promising artists on the cusp of recognition. Two works by Chicago-based Olson Arched fold, bent of another movement, 2017 and Firing distance, scission, 2017 have been acquired for the Rose Art Museum's collection.

Trademark Theater celebrates its inaugural year with The Boy and Robin Hood, a play-with-music written by Tyler Mills with score and lyrics by local composer David Darrow. The production, conceived and directed by Tyler Michaels, runs at the Ritz Theater in Minneapolis, May 24 - June 11.

Jeremy Terry Productions announces the world premiere performances of The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, a new play by Brendan Jones. The original score for the show is by Aaron Latina. In July, Cumberland County Playhouse and the Scopes Trial Festival in Dayton co-produced Front Page News, a new, historically accurate 'play with music' about the famous Scopes 'Monkey Trial.' Following that success, director Jim Crabtree turns to the fictional drama inspired by those events, Inherit The Wind. The play is based on elements of the Scopes trial, but also inspired by the McCarthy hearings of the 1950s. Crabtree's hymn-filled production strives to promote respect for all views. 'Working on Front Page News was a revelation,' says Crabtree. 'The more I learned the actual surrounding the Scopes Trial, the more respect I gained for the real people of Dayton. This knowledge informs our Inherit The Wind.'

Beginning September 12, Cumberland County Playhouse promises audiences a devilishly good time as they present Damn Yankees, the Tony Award-winning musical that's all about America's favorite pastime, baseball! Middle-aged Joe Boyd (Jim Crabtree) will do anything to see his beloved Washington Senators win the pennant-even sell his soul to the Devil. So when charming Mr. Applegate (Jason Ross) offers him the chance to dethrone the Yankees and lead his team to the pennant, Joe can't resist the temptation. But when transformed into the baseball sensation of the year, young Joe Hardy (Blake Graham) must decide if the life he gave up is more important than youth and fame. Only with the help of the Devil's sultry seductress Lola (Leila Nelson) does Hardy have a chance at redemption.
