Producers Kevin McCollum, Doug Morris and Berry Gordy just announced complete casting for the Broadway return of Motown The Musical, beginning performances Tuesday, July 12 at The Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41Street) for a strictly limited 18-week-only engagement through Sunday, November 13, 2016.

Performances for the Miami premiere of MOTOWN THE MUSICAL begin Tuesday, February 2 for a limited one-week run through Sunday, February 7, 2016 at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County.

Producers Kevin McCollum, Doug Morris and Berry Gordy are thrilled to announce that Broadway veteran Chester Gregory will join the First National Tour of MOTOWN THE MUSICAL in the leading role of Berry Gordy. Mr. Gregory's first performance will be tonight in Richmond, VA.

Set in 'Ancient Greece,' GODS & KINGS is an original alt-rock musical that boldly brings to life the timeless fable of The Bacchae. The story centers on the conflict between the unyieldingly rational King Pentheus (Ben Garrett) and the wildly anarchic God Dionysus (Jonathan Grunert) as they struggle for influence and power over the people of Thebes. With music by Neil Douglas Reilly (Rocky, The Gershwins' Porgy & Bess) and book and lyrics by Austin Ruffer, the musical asks: Do people really have to live a life stuck between Gods and Kings?

Continuing its 40th Mainstage Season, the Hangar Theatre's artistic director Jen Waldman will direct, Little Shop of Horrors by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, today, July 10 until July 26, 2014. This hilarious musical, based off of the 1960 movie, is cosmic fun for the whole family. With toe tapping tunes and a carnivorous alien planet, this show is sure to entertain. Join the cast, crew, and Hangar staff on opening night, Friday, July 11 at 8pm at the Hangar Theatre, as they continue to celebrate their 40th Anniversary of the Mainstage Season. On Monday, May 19th, Lone Star Theatre Co will present a staged reading of THE CAPITOL PLAYS, five plays inspired by Wendy Davis and the crazy day and night she spent defending women's rights in Austin, TX. The plays -- by Raquel Almazan, Mando Alvarado, David Davila and Lindsay Hicks -- depict different events (true or fictional) that could all take place at the Texas Capitol.
