The Cherry Lane Theatre presents the world premiere production of Deirdre O'Connor's JAILBAIT--a new play about two teenaged girls and the men they meet when they pose as college students during a night out at a club in Boston--as the inaugural production at Cherry Lane's newest Off-Broadway theatre, the 90-seat Cherry Pit (155 Bank Street), with previews set to begin March 19 prior to its official press opening on March 25. INTAR Finds New Home at Cherry Lane After Zipper Closing,

INTAR (Eduardo Machado, Artistic Director/John McCormack, Executive Director/Alina Troyano, Associate Artistic Director), which was scheduled for two engagements, winter and spring, at the now suddenly shuttered Zipper Factory Theater, has found its new home for this season at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street). Performances will begin February 15th and run through March 7th. Opening Night is set for February 18th.

Cherry Lane Theatre, Angelina Fiordellisi Artistic Director and James King Managing Director will present 'The Amish Project' for three weeks as a work in progress from Saturday, January 10 through Sunday, February 1, 2009. 'The Amish Project', which is written and performed by Jessica Dickey, and directed by Sarah Cameron Sunde, is a one-person play inspired by the tragedy at the Nickel Mines Amish Settlement in 2006. Imbued with poetry and humor, the show explores a community grappling with loss and faith. Cherry Lane plans to produce the world premier in April.

The Cherry Lane Theatre-Angelina Fiordellisi, Artistic Director, James King, Managing Director-announces its 2009 Season, including all programs, productions and partnerships. Cherry Lane Extends Albee- Mulgrew To Replace Ivey

The Cherry Lane Theatre announces that based on overwhelming critical accolades as well as audience response, performances of Edward Albee's The American Dream and The Sandbox have been extended until Saturday, May 17th. The production was originally scheduled to close April 19th. Additionally, Outer Critics Circle and Lortel nominated and 'Star Trek:Voayager' star Kate Mulgrew will be replacing Judith Ivey who aready had other commitments.
