As many remember, not too long ago, The Office was set for its own spin-off. It was to star perfunctory suck-up Dwight Schrute and the goings-on at his family's beet farm. Well, the network axed it not too long ago, and rather than waste the footage, THE OFFICE's showrunners have reworked the episode to fit into the NBC show's regular season.

Chicago theater actor Sara Sevigny has been cast as a series regular on FOX's new pilot, The Gabriels. Sevigny plays Bonnie. Tim Meadows (SNL, Mean Girls) will play her husband, Tom Klabunde. Rob Riggle (21 Jump Street, The Hangover) and Angela Kinsey (The Office) will play their next-door neighbors and title characters, The Gabriels.

THE OFFICE's Angela Kinsey has officially signed on to star in Fox's upcoming comedy pilot, THE GABRIELS, The Hollywood Reporter has announced. The project, written by Andrew Gurland and Justin Hurwitz, was previously titled HOUSE RULES.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt addressed the rumors of Steve Carell's potential return for THE OFFICE's upcoming series finale at the Televsion Critics Association press tour. And the news wasn't good.

Tribeca Film, in a partnership with Emerging Pictures, will be bringing Glee star, Chris Colfer's film debut, Struck by Lightning, to theaters nationwide for a one night only special interactive Q&A screening. This special theatrical event will be hosted by cinemas across the country today, January 6th, the same night as the film's red carpet premiere. Fans all over the U.S. will be virtually united and given the unique chance to see the high school comedy in theaters before its January 11th release date.

NBC's 'New Year's Eve With Carson Daly' will ring in 2013 with Grammy Award-winning group Train, performing 'Mermaid' and John Lennon's 'Imagine,' and, Cassadee Pope, the winner of NBC's 'The Voice,' as well as some of the best musical performances from 2012. The two-hour special will air live on Monday, December 31, beginning in primetime from 10-11 p.m. (ET), and continuing from 11:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. (ET) with the first performances of the New Year.
