Nick Vatterott to Release FOR AMUSEMENT ONLY, 11/4

Comedy Central Records is set to release the debut comedy album from exciting stand-up talent Nick Vatterott. “For Amusement Only” will be available on iTunes, Amazon and all streaming services, and is currently available for pre-order on iTunes. Fans in NYC can join Vatterott and friends at his New York Comedy Festival show and album release party on Friday, November 7 at 10:00 p.m. at The Stand (239 Third Avenue New York, NY 10003).

Comedian Andy Kaufman Faked His Death as Part of Long Joke?

It appears that deceased comedian Andy Kaufman may be pulling one over on all of us. According to NYPost, Kaufman's writing partner, Bob Zmuda reveals in his book, ANDY KAUFMAN: THE TRUTH, FINALLY, that Kaufman's death was exactly like a bit they wrote for a film called The Tony Clifton Story, which featured a title character based on Kaufman.

On the heels of their one-year wedding anniversary, distinguished entertainers Christine Reisner-Rebic (an international cabaret chanteuse and dancer) and Don Rebic (Broadway and cabaret musical director and composer) will join forces for the New York City debut of their first full-length cabaret act as a duo. 'Look Who's in Love' features their original songs as well as songs by veteran Broadway composer Albert Hague (Christine's uncle) and timeless jazzy standards by Irving Berlin, Jule Styne, Jimmy Van Heusen, Betty Comden and Adolph Green. The show is directed by Michael Bush. The performance is set for Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at The Laurie Beechman Theatre at the West Bank Cafe, 407 West 42nd Street (at 9th Avenue), NYC. The Canuck Cabaret Set for FRIGID New York, 2/22-3/8

Since 2010, a group of Canadians, led by comedic performer Paul Hutcheson, have been crossing the border to entertain audiences at late-night cabaret shows as part of the FRIGID New York Festival presented by Horse Trade Theater Group. After shows in 2014, the show will have been produced over forty times and has been featured in Time Out NY, MSNBC and The Village Voice.
