Hot off her 2015 MAC Award win The Sexy Sass Coloratura is laughing  like Adele from ' Die Fledermaus,' 'its so funny ha ha ha,' and it will be funny and glorious when she recreates that famous aria and many more in her critically acclaimed show LEGIT (A Classical Cabaret) Directed by Lina Koutrakos, with Music Direction by Mark Janas with Special Guest Operatic Tenor Christopher Yoon and multi-Award winning songstress Celia Berk.

After successful shows at Judy's Chelsea and Don't Tell Mama, Jennifer Roberts is back to celebrate her love for Manhattan with two shows at New York hotspot 'Don't Tell Mama.' Rising young artist, Clayton G. Williams, a New York-based baritone who recently was a member an ensemble cast in New World Waking one of, "the most original and entertaining productions witnessed this year…" [Broadway World] will present a solo recital as part of The Fordham at Four Concert Series this February.

In my recent very extended assessment of cabaret shows I never reviewed during the second half of 2014, there were two significant omissions. I didn't leave these out of my critical mix because they weren't strikingly significant. In fact, it was just the opposite. The new variety game show, Tune In Time, which dubs itself the “Musical Theater Olympics,” and the musical theater piece/song cycle, New World Waking, were among the most original and entertaining productions I witnessed this year and deserved more of a feature treatment than a quickie review. My take on Tune In Time (which will begin a new monthly run at the York Theatre on January 5) should beat the clock before the next show. So by simple process of elimination, this commentary will be on New World Waking, which when performed on December 6 was one of the highlights of the recent annual 12-day, 20-show Winter Rhythms Festival at Urban Stages.

Ms. McDonald will receive the PFLAG NYC 'Stay Close' Leadership Award in recognition of her years advocating full equality for all lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people and for her participation in the PFLAG NYC 'Stay Close' campaign which features straight celebrities appearing with their LGBT loved ones.

Tim Realbuto, most known as the co-writer and director of the musical Ghostlight (which starred Rachel York and Tony winner Daisy Eagan), will appear in the Equity staged reading of Jessica Ann Carp's new musical Playground. As an actor, Realbuto has been seen in Finian's Rainbow; The Winter's Tale Project (FringeNYC); and as Jackson Phieffer in the Universal Pictures release "The Emperor's Club", opposite Kevin Kline and Jesse Eisenberg. Realbuto will star in Playground alongside "All My Children"'s Eileen Tepper (Les Miserables; Fiddler on the Roof); Helen Hayes Award winner Brian Childers (Danny and Sylvia; Miracle on 34th Street); Anthony Zillmer (All Shook Up; "The Winning Season"); and Jessica Ann Carp, the creator herself (whose acting credits include appearing alongside Drew Barrymore in the major motion picture "Riding In Cars With Boys").
