Jennifer Roberts to Return to Don't Tell Mama, 4/7 & 9

By:

After successful shows at Judy's Chelsea and Don't Tell Mama, Jennifer Roberts is back to celebrate her love for Manhattan with two shows at New York hotspot 'Don't Tell Mama.' Musical Director Tedd Firth will join Jennifer along with bass player Ritt Henn (www.ritthenn.com) on April 7th and 9th at 10:15 p.m. $20 cover (two drink minimum).

Directed by Andy Gale with technical direction by Jason Ellis, 'An Evening With Jennifer Roberts' features Firth's spectacular arrangements of songs from composers Leonard Bernstein and Kurt Weill to Cy Coleman, Sheldon Harnick, Duke Ellington and Dave Frishberg.

Jennifer, whose regional credits include Sarah Brown opposite Broadway leading man Tom Wopat in Guys and Dolls, serves up an entertaining, exhilarating, jazz-infused show that highlights her wide vocal range.

Drawing on her own diverse and eclectic background -- she's been a symphony soloist, motivational trainer, high school drama director, Opryland theme park singer and dancer, and travels the country as an automotive industry spokeswoman -- Jennifer's heartfelt, theatrical performance showcases her unique blend of drama and humor.

Jennifer has appeared as Guenevere in Camelot, directed by Tod Booth, and in both the soprano and alto roles in several versions of The All Night Strut, directed by Fran Charnas. She boasts numerous radio and television commercials and has appeared in films and on television shows, including Conviction, opposite Hilary Swank, and Unsolved Mysteries. With a BFA in theater from Wayne State University in Detroit, Jennifer later studied acting with Uta Hagen. She lives in Michigan, but her love for Manhattan's intimate cabaret experience continually draws her back to New York City.

Don't Tell Mama is located at 343 West 46th St., New York, NY. Call 212.757.0788 or visit www.donttellmamanyc.com for more information.
