Inspired by the Fandango Fronterizo Festival, O'Farrill and the 18-piece Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra recorded Fandango at the Wall with more than 60 musicians on the U.S.-Mexico border and in studio in New York City. At Symphony Space, O'Farrill and the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra perform with special guest artists appearing on Fandango at the Wall, including violin virtuosos The Villalobos Brothers; Iraqi-American oud master Rahim AlHaj and his trio; Iranian tar virtuoso Sahba Motallebi; and a selection of son jarocho greats from Veracruz: Patricio Hidalgo, Ramon Gutierrez Hernandez, Fernando Guadarrama, Tacho Utrera, Wendy Romero, and Jorge Francisco Castillo (organizer of the Fandango Fronterizo Festival).
