Green Space is pleased to announce a diverse roster of artists for its signature programs this March. Take Root will present an evening of work by DeLucia Benson Dance and Six Degrees Dance, curated by Chris Ferris, on March 15th and 16th, and Fertile Ground showcases works-in-progress by multiple dance artists on March 17th.

Sean Dorsey Dance Announces 15th Anniversary Season Lineup

SEAN DORSEY DANCE (Sean Dorsey, artistic director; Shawna Virago, general manager) today announced its 15th anniversary home season - a return engagement of its acclaimed dance work, 'Boys in Trouble' at Z Space (March 14-16) - along with a 20-city U.S. tour, a full-length documentary, the 18th annual 'Fresh Meat Festival' of transgender and queer performance (June 20-22, San Francisco), and other celebratory achievements to mark the modern dance company's 15th anniversary.

The Public Theater Announces Line-Up And Casting For Sixth Season Of Public Studio

The Public Theater announced the sixth season of PUBLIC STUDIO today, which will present two new works this spring. Dance/NYC Announces Its Tenth Annual Symposium

Dance/NYC, New York City's leading organization dedicated to promoting the knowledge, appreciation, practice, and performance of dance in the metropolitan area, today announced content for its tenth annual Symposium happening Friday, February 22 and Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Hunter College. Molly Lieber And Eleanor Smith Present New Work At New York Live Arts

New York Live Arts (Live Arts) to present the world premiere of Molly Lieber and Eleanor Smith's Body Comes Apart, March 6-9, 2019, having commissioned the work as part of the Live Feed Residency Program. The duo, Bessie Award nominees in choreography and Lieber recipient in outstanding performance, continue their experimental 10-year creative practice using abstraction as a means of confronting trauma. Based on a dynamic improvisational score, Body Comes Apart embraces the potentialities of bodies to challenge perceptions of female identity.

Christopher Burney Named New Artistic Director of New York Stage and Film

Meany Center's Creative Fellowships Initiative Announces Full Roster

The University of Washington has announced the complete roster of artists who have been selected as Creative Research Fellows as part of its first three-year Creative Fellowships Initiative. Funded by a $750,000 grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the interdisciplinary initiative will advance the field of performing arts by supporting artists in the development of new works and by integrating the performing arts disciplines into a broader context academically, artistically, and socially.

Renowned pianist and pedagogue Leon Fleisher has updated the program for his celebratory 90th birthday recital at Carnegie Hall today, February 5 at 7:30 p.m. in Zankel Hall to include works by Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, and Mozart, along with two selections by Leon Kirchner. Joining Mr. Fleisher on stage are notable friends and colleagues, Jonathan Biss and Yefim Bronfman, whom Mr. Fleisher has mentored throughout his illustrious career. Mr. Fleisher will also be joined by special guests the Dover Quartet and Rachel Calin on bass. CUNY Dance Initiative Announces 5th Year Festival At Baruch Performing Arts Center

The CUNY Dance Initiative (CDI), an innovative residency program for New York City choreographers, celebrates its fifth anniversary with a series of performances this spring. Co-presented with Baruch Performing Arts Center, the 5th Year Fest will feature works by 11 artists/companies in two separate programs that exemplify the diversity of dance styles, perspectives, and cultural expressions that has come through CDI's doors. Lead funding for CDI's 5th Year Fest is generously provided by the Howard Gilman Foundation, with additional support from the Mertz Gilmore Foundation.

Long Beach Opera Announces Community Conversations
