American Lyric Theater (ALT) is pleased to announce that applications for the next cycle of the company's nationally acclaimed Composer Librettist Development Program will be accepted from February 15 to March 31, 2017. There is no fee to apply for the program.

Live Arts Bard (LAB), the residency and commissioning program of the Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts at Bard College, is pleased to present WE'RE WATCHING, the first major survey of performances by contemporary American artists exploring surveillance and its impact on our identities.

Reena Esmail); Nicole Lizée's Another Living Soul; Tanya Tagaq's Sivunittinni (arr. Jacob Garchik); and Fodé Lassana Diabaté's Sunjata's Time(arr. Jacob Garchik) on which Diabaté will join the quartet on the balafon.

Victory Gardens Theater continues its season with the World Premiere of A Wonder In My Soul, written by ensemble playwright Marcus Gardley and directed by Artistic Director Chay Yew. The CUNY Dance Initiative (CDI), a university-wide residency program, announces its spring 2017 performances and public events.

The Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago concludes its 2016-17 season with the Chicago debut of Liz Gerring Dance Company performing its newest evening-length work Horizon, described as "exuberantly athletic" by The New York Times. Acclaimed Off-Broadway theater company Playwrights Horizons will hold its annual Spring Gala on Monday evening, May 8 at the event space 583 Park Avenue. New York Live Arts presents the world premiere of choreographer Andrea Kleine's latest dance project, My Dinner with Andrea: the piece formerly known as Torture Playlist, which takes its cue from the 1981 Wallace Shawn and Andre Gregory movie, My Dinner With Andre. Commissioned by New York Live Arts and presented through its Live Feed creative residency program, the performances will take place February 9-11, 2017,

The Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) and Jazz Foundation of America will co-present Stanley Jordan on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 8pm at BAC's Jerome Robbins Theater. Among the most gifted guitarists of his generation, Jordan is master of the two-handed tapping technique, using the neck of the guitar like a keyboard rather than strumming or picking. Applying this astonishing technique, or "touch style" in another setting, Jordan also performs on both guitar and piano at the same time, playing chords and melodies with his hands on separate instruments and uniquely melding the two sounds into one. More than a technical phenomenon, Jordan conveys an astounding depth of musical expression through a multi-faceted solo repertoire, ranging from bold reinventions of classical masterpieces to improvisational contemporary works. At BAC, Jordan will be joined for several songs by his daughter, New York City-based singer/songwriter Julia Jordan.

Playwrights Horizons has announced complete casting for THE PROFANE, the world premiere of a new play by Zayd Dohrn (Outside People, Reborning). Directed by Kip Fagan (Grand Concourse at , Exit Strategy, The Revisionist, Asuncion), THE PROFANE will be the fifth production of the theater company's 2016/2017 Season.

Fort Worth Opera (FWOpera) announced today the names of the eight composer and librettist teams whose unpublished works have been selected for the company's fifth annual, critically acclaimed new works series, Frontiers - funded in part by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

Yackez, the art pop/multimedia collaboration of Larissa and Jon Velez-Jackson, aka Twitta and Papi Jon, will work the crowd again in their latest dance spectacle, Give It To You Stage, a large-scale dance musical in two acts. The performance of all original music written and performed by the duo also features their Queer pro-wrestling dance ensemble and a special appearance by older adult members of Larissa's citywide dance-fitness classes, creating a multi-generational interdisciplinary spectacle.
