Sydney Theatre Company and The Sydney Morning Herald presents Steppenwolf Theatre Company's AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY by Tracy Letts

Andrew Upton and Cate Blanchett today announced Sydney Theatre Company's 2011 Main Stage Season, their third as Artistic Directors of the Company, comprising twelve diverse shows at Sydney Theatre, the Drama Theatre at the Sydney Opera House and The Wharf.

Due to robust advance ticket sales Artists Repertory Theatre will extend the run of Long Day's Journey Into Night until September 5. The world-class production of Long Day's Journey Into Night comes to Portland, Oregon after playing to sold out houses for five weeks in Sydney, Australia. Artists Repertory Theatre and Sydney Theatre Company bring this Broadway-caliber international collaboration to Portland for a three-week engagement. Opening Night is August 14, 2010, with one preview performance August 13, 2010. Long Day's Journey Into Night runs August 13-September 5, 2010 at the Newmark Theatre, 1111 SW Broadway, Portland, Oregon.

Titled 'Dissolving Borders with International Theatre Collaboration,' the conversation will be moderated by Tim DuRoche, Director of Programs, at Portland World Affairs Council.

So close to his own life, Long Day's Journey Into Night is a story O'Neill did not want shared until 25 years after his death.
