The Original Broadway Cast Recording for THE BOOK OF MORMON is #3 on Billboard's Top 200 albums this week, in figures released by the publication today. THE BOOK OF MORMON is the first Broadway cast recording to break into Billboard's Top 10 since the release of the Original Broadway Cast Recording of Hair in 1969, passing the positions of other top-selling cast recordings over the years, such as Dreamgirls, which reached #11 in 1982 and Rent, which reached #19 in 1996. Already the biggest selling digital release of a cast recording of all time, THE BOOK OF MORMON's cast recording is #1 on the digital release chart this week, selling more albums than such artists as Adele and All Time Low.

Beginning tomorrow, June 15, American Express Cardmembers will have the exclusive opportunity to purchase tickets to the Tony Award-Winning blockbuster The Book Of Mormon for shows running from April to September of 2012.

As previously reported, the cast of PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT will be performing the show stopper 'It's Raining Men' at the Tony Awards ceremony on Sunday, June 12. The performance will be broadcast as part of the ceremony on CBS. Mary Tyler Moore and Bernadette Peters will host the 13th annual BROADWAY BARKS!, a star-studded dog and cat adopt-a-thon benefiting New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies. The event, produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is sponsored by official charity partner, the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) with additional sponsorship by the New York Times. The event will take place on Saturday, July 9 in Shubert Alley (located between 44th and 45th Streets, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue). The festivities begin at 3:30 p.m.; celebrity presentations of pets from citywide animal shelters will take place between 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Casts from some of Broadway's hottest tickets will take the stage at the Tony Awards this year - including the cast of Priscilla Queen of the Desert featuring Nick Adams, Tony Sheldon, Will Swenson and special appearances by Paul Shaffer and the legendary Martha Wash. BroadwayWorld has learned that the men of Priscilla will be taking the stage with Wash for a rendition of 'It's Raining Men,' a number written by Paul Shaffer and originally performed by Martha Wash.
