On Friday, December 13, I had the pleasure of seeing JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT spectacularly performed at the Downtown Cabaret Theatre in Bridgeport, CT.  Marking the fiftieth anniversary of this very first musical collaboration between songwriter Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyricist Tim Rice, this show remains entertaining to audiences across multiple generations.   Under the direction of Andrea Pane and choreography of Cassie Caroll, this stellar cast delivers a phenomenal performance!  The cast includes some of my favorite familiar local talent, such as Robert Peterpaul, Andrea Pane, Everton Ricketts, and Cassie Caroll.  This show has now also introduced me to the amazing talent of Desi Amato, who shines as the best narrator I have ever seen in this show.

Cats officially comes to cinemas on Christmas, December 25. In honor of the big day approaching, a billboard has taken over Times Square.

Celine Dion visited the CATS tour in Toronto and met up with the cast following a performance at Toronto's Princess of Wales Theatre last night! The 50th Anniversary tour of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR opened at the Orpheum Theatre in Omaha last night with a few surprises. Unlike the plethora of productions performed in the past of this Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice collaboration, this production mixes a rock concert with an aggressive dance troupe resulting in riotous sight and sound. The National Youth Theatre (NYT) has released production images for its West End production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by Matt Harrison working in association with Kneehigh and abridged by Kate Kennedy, which runs at the Criterion Theatre until 17 January 2020, with its official press matinee taking place on 10 December, marking the final production in the 2019 NYT REP Season.
